Hi! I went to play golf at the Royal Course in Maui and it was SO HOT but also really fun! I’m going to tell you all about it.

First, the pro shop was AMAZING! They had the coolest head covers with animals like flamingos, dragons, and squirrels. They even had pizza and drink head covers which is so silly! I got a cardinal one and it’s my favorite. I really wanted to see a real cardinal on the course but I couldn’t find one. But I did see this bird that looked like a kiwi which was pretty cool.

The golf course was really hard and super hot. But guess what? There was a snack truck that came around and it had Snickers, Twix, candy bars, and drinks! That was the best because I was so thirsty and hungry.

My dad kept hitting his ball into the sand traps – like SO MANY sand traps! One time he thought he hit it in the sand trap but it was actually way far to the right of it which was funny. On the first hole, I made a really awesome putt and the flag was a special pink one for breast cancer awareness which was nice.

The prettiest hole was definitely hole 18! It had this cool bridge and water sprayers everywhere and we played it right at sunset so everything looked golden and pretty. You could see the ocean from lots of places but the sun was really bright and shiny on the water. The last hole felt like it took 10 YEARS to finish though!

I got to drive around in the golf cart and I put my cardinal head cover in the back seat like he was a passenger. The funniest thing was when our puppet cardinal head cover started acting all crazy, just like our stuffed caterpillar does at home!
If I could give the golf course a nickname, I would call it “The Aqua Palace” because of all the water and how fancy it is.
If I was the boss of the golf course, I would add a pool and a playground with slides RIGHT ON THE GOLF COURSE! And way more snack carts because one is not enough when it’s that hot. Oh, and I saw a real coconut which was cool!

I would definitely want to play there again because even though it’s super hot, it has beautiful views and it’s really pretty. I give the Royal Course 7 out of 10 stars!

The end!
P.S. – Next time I’m bringing more water and maybe I’ll finally see a real cardinal!
